Skullduggery is a skill that allows the character to disarm detected traps more effectively.

Mechanic[]

Traps are dangerous mechanism that can be set to floor tiles, doors or chests and are sprung upon contact (by stepping on floor tiles, opening or attacking doors and chests). All traps have a trap level, ranging from 1 to 9.

Trap level Name Effect EXP given when disarmed
1 Steam Bath Damage 25
2 The Hobbler Damage 50
3 Barbed Darts Damage 75
4 Bixby's Noxious Cloud Save vs. Toxin or be poisoned 100
5 Festering Stew Save vs. Disease or be diseased 125
6 Thieves' Surprise Damage 150
7 Wicked Sunrise Damage 175
8 Yara's Vengeance Damage 200
9 Dragonbite Damage 225

Traps are not visible until sprung unless detected with the Spot Hidden skill, after which the character can attempt to disarm them. The chance of successfully disarming a trap can be calculated with the following formula:

(Skullduggery skill level * 3) + (Concentration ability score / 3) + 60 - (Trap Level * 10)

A failed attempt at disarming a trap will immediately spring the trap. Unlike picking locks, the character can attempt to disarm traps without having learned the Skullduggery skill.
